Propagating New Members
When you join the Rochester Garden Club, you join more than 100 garden-minded enthusiasts who care about plants, people, and the planet.
As a member of the Rochester Garden Club, you:
Will be invited to a special new member orientation meeting, where you’ll learn more about our club, and four special meetings designed just for you.
May join committees that suit your interests. Our committees include Conservation/National Affairs and Legislation (NAL), Floral Design, Horticulture, Photography, Civic Improvement/Grants. Geranium-Plus Sale, Hospitality.
May attend member meetings or workshops including an annual meeting and an annual garden party.
Are invited to special tours of gardens, nurseries, and other destinations.
Receive a copy of Let’s Grow - our member newsletter, produced quarterly, and a printed copy of our annual member directory - available exclusively to our members.
Are a member of the Garden Club of America (GCA) and National Garden Clubs/7th District Federated Garden Clubs of NY State. As a member of GCA, you’ll receive the quarterly magazine the Bulletin, plus have access to an expansive website, offering a wide variety of information, and newsletters focused on specific areas of interest including horticulture, floral design and conservation.
Participate in community garden-related projects, like our annual visit to Letchworth Park to celebrate Love My Park Day each May.
Help raise money through our annual Geranium-Plus Sale. All proceeds of our sale are then contributed to local non-profit organizations’ garden-related projects.
